Apollo 12 – The Second Moon Landing

Apollo 12 launched on November 14, 1969, from Kennedy Space Center aboard a Saturn V rocket carrying astronauts Charles Conrad, Alan Bean, and Richard Gordon. Conrad and Bean piloted the Lunar Module Intrepid to a successful landing in the Ocean of Storms, conducting moonwalks, deploying scientific instruments, and retrieving components of Surveyor 3, which had landed two years earlier. Their mission expanded lunar science and paved the way for future exploration.
