This Des Moines poster is surrounded by a soft cream matte border that gives the artwork room to breathe. The neutral tone sits calmly against the glowing golds, oranges, and deep blues of the scene, so the colors feel warm and balanced rather than crowded.

The caption reads "Des Moines" with "Iowa" set in smaller letters beneath it, placed in the bottom band of the border instead of over the image. Above it, a golden sky with billowing yellow clouds stretches over a calm river. A long arched bridge crosses the water, and a cluster of city towers rises on the right, their reflections shimmering below. Dark trees and a shadowy riverbank frame the left side, adding depth to the view.

Place it in a standard frame and the border works as a built-in mat, giving a finished look without custom matting. It suits a living room, entryway, or home office, and makes a thoughtful gift for anyone who calls Iowa home or loves to travel.
